What Goes In Must Come Out! | Synergy Health Management

What Goes In Must Come Out!

There are many things to learn about when it comes to nutrition. The food we eat. How our bodies process it. The parts it actually needs vs the parts that strain our system. And how our body deals with it all.

But it all boils down to the basic concept of “What goes in must come out.”

What Goes In Must Come Out!

Your body is like a machine: it takes what it needs from what you feed it and gets rid of the rest by urine and the bowels.

When functioning correctly, this process should go like clockwork, with a predictable time frame from start to finish.

If you notice you have a problem with elimination, you should take it seriously and go see a doctor.

Don’t be shy or embarrassed! More people have problems in this area than you think and you do not want to put off bringing up your concerns with your doctor. You can’t determine from home whether or not what you are experiencing is a symptom of something that can be very serious to your health.

Making Sure You Are Regular

The first step to addressing any elimination concerns is finding out if there even is a problem.

Keep track of how many bowel movements (BM) you have each day for 2-4 weeks.

If you have one per day it’s not a problem. However, it is better to have 2 to 3 BM’s a day, or even more if you eat more often.

If you find you are having around one per week or 2 per month, then you have a serious problem and need to contact your primary care physician immediately.

Habits To Improve Bowel Function

For some people, their limited BMs are due to personal habits. They might say they don’t find the time.

The reason could be they are out all day and would prefer to have their BM at home rather than a public bathroom (which is very common!). But let me tell you, you will keep your colon quite happy if you go several times for the day.

If your backup is due to public anxiety, take the time to go before you leave home in the morning and before you go to bed at night.

If your backup is due to your body just moving slowly and are looking for a trick to get it going again naturally, you should try to eat a lot of raw fruits and vegetables, steamed beets, and digestive enzymes with your meals.

Even if you don’t like these suggestions here, doing whatever you can to regulate your BMs will be beneficial for you!

I have just lightly touched on this subject, but if you have any specific problems or concerns, you should consult a doctor and seek medical help.

Blocked or slow-moving bowels are not good for your health. Take care of it today and look forward to tomorrow.

May you live a healthy and prosperous life.
